Coby and Georgia

Jake won't be able to feed him much longer! It'll soon be the other way around!

Miss Georgie was NOT in a photo mood as this shot shows!

Elly and Coby the big boy!

Easter 2008

Here are our Easter bunnies with their "haul" on Easter morning. They spent the day then gorging on their goodies, but those not eaten have joined the leftovers from last Easter in the back fridge!!! Out of sight out of mind with these two.
Out at Redcliffe Ahoy there me hearties, seen any fish and chips coming by?

Wales win the 6 Nations

I have no photos but just had to make comment on Wales not only winning the 6 Nations, but doing it as a Grand Slam!! Why the hell couldn't they have done this last year when we spent a flipping fortune coming over to Europe to watch them??! Suffice to say there was a lot of whooping and yelling coming out of our house in the early morning hours in March and we hope they continue with their success! Maybe now Australia has a Kiwi coach, we might do better too?? Please no, we'll never hear the end of it!!

Gillian and family

We had a lovely visit in January from one of Michael's old school friends, Gillian and her husband Andrew and daughter Sophie who were visiting Oz for a few weeks. They were on their way to Cairns by camper van, so called in for a quick afternoon visit, before trying to beat the horrible downpours we were experiencing!! Hope we get to stay in their gorgeous B & B back in North Wales some time!!

Jake's night at the Reds

For his mate Daniel's birthday, Jake got to go to the Reds game at Suncorp and go into the dressing rooms post-match to meet some of their heroes!! Of course Chris Latham was top of the list, but Rodzilla got in on the act too. The Reds actually got slaughtered this game, so were not really in a celebratory mood. Still, they were great to all the boys, signed jerseys and posed for photos when they probably would rather not. Our guys lapped it up and maybe one day will do the same!!

Iona Trivia Night

The occasion was the Iona College (Jake's school) Trivia Night. The theme was 1950's as it is the college's Jubilee Year this year, so we let loose as the Pink Ladies and the T-Birds for the night. Not sure how we actually went with the trivia comp part of the night, but we all had a ball!! The table of "baby boomers" behind us were very cheeky too and it did start to get "messy" by night's end, with their Baby Borns being bottle fed beer and given pipes to smoke!! We can't wait for the Jubilee Ball in June!!!!!

New Year's Eve 2007

We decided to just stick around home for NYE as Michael had to work and we're not really party people (stop laughing, we really aren't!!) so we asked the neighbours over..... then a couple of friends stopped by......then some of the kids friends parents......and it sort of grew from there into a great night/morning which finished about 2 or 3am!!!

Christmas 2007

Here are some shots of our Christmas Street Party, as well as the big day itself. We had a great day with everyone over at John and Bev's on Boxing Day and the big snooker tournament was lots of fun!

2008

Hi All

Well here it is Easter 2008 already and I haven't put anything on here since our holiday!! I know I am very slack but life does get somewhat hectic and busy in the Higgos household sometimes. The kids are now well and truly settled into school and Elly is finally enjoying her new school. She starts rowing next weekend so that will add a new dimension to our sporting program. She has been playing in the school cricket team and her club netball starts back this week too. Jake's school cricket team went through undefeated again this year and he is playing trial rugby matches this week for the new school season. Club rugby has also "kicked off" (ha nice pun hey?) and is a lot different this season with the whole field being used and the boys being able to contest lineouts. Michael has also rekindled his football career now that he is at home more, and is playing for his old club Easts in a Friday night over 35's competition (they are more like over 45's tho).

We haven't done much around the house lately other than taking down a big tree and putting turf down where the pool was. I've popped a few photos on here of various events since Christmas so hope you enjoy! Elly's 2 best friends are Sophie and Maddy and as you can see, they all looked gorgeous in the new high school "clobber". Ell and Madds also have matching braces now too and Michael seems to think it is a fashion accessory for all girls this age!!!!
